petition to make young adult authors stop writing about girls whose lives change when they meet a boy
To be fair, there’s also a ton about a boy who meets a girl and has his life changed.
A Palestinian girl’s message to Israel after Zionist forces shelled her home. Occupation 101: Voice of the Silenced Majority (2006)
Western media works really hard so we don’t see this, we don’t see this articulate little girl
Western media works really hard to make sure we don’t see anyone who isn’t a white westerner as people
"I Hate People."
I hear people say this a lot, sometimes as a joke and sometimes in earnest, but I have to disagree with it. I love people. If you look at people’s tiny qualities, good and bad, as all part of their personality that makes them special, it makes you appreciate the people you meet. There’s no reason to hate people. Hating people just makes things harder for you. It puts you in bad moods more often and turns you into a more conceited, stubborn person. Be open about people. Love people. Find the good in people. If you only look at the bad in others, you’ll probably be more oblivious to the bad in yourself. The more you love and listen, the better of a person you become.
I don’t know. I guess I just know that I’m a person too, and lots of people probably hate me without knowing me. I don’t want to do that to others.
Is 4chan anything but terrible? Every time I hear or see somebody talking about 4chan and /mlp it's usually something to be laughed at, but then again it's the exact same thing with the brony fandom so idk.
4chan is that kid in your class who never sits still, and the teacher is always angry at him but his antics make the other kids laugh but he doesn’t really have any personal friendships with them
And one day at recess a lovely iridescent dragonfly lands on his finger, and he has this moment where he feels this genuine appreciation for its beauty but he’s a young boy and he worries that this sentimentality will emasculate him so before he can even think he shoves the dragonfly in his mouth and eats it, and has this kind of sad emotional turning point
But the rest of the kids just know they saw the class clown eat a dragonfly and nobody will go on the swings next to him anymore
So I guess what I’m saying here is it varies post-to-post
I can’t even
This is so perfect
Dear new Frankenstein movie,
All complete lack of understanding of the original story aside, HE IS FRANKENSTEIN’S MONSTER, NOT FRANKENSTEIN.
